Ryan J. Murdough, a neo-Nazi based out of New England who founded the New England White Network, who has a very long and extensive past of being a disgusting bigot, has taken out an ad in the Fairfield journal for another one of his book burnings that is taking place at an undisclosed location somewhere in New England; most likely in New Hampshire where he lives.
Murdough also tagged some of his friends in the post as well (as he usually does). The handles @oneBasedBrother and @ColchesterCollection belong to Russell James of Machias, Maine.
Russell James is the founder of “The Colchester Collection,” an aggregate of books written by neo-Nazis and fascists alike, along with “The Patriot Portal,” which is a directory of hate groups, books, forums, and even dating websites that are all dedicated to bigots like him.
James has created a fundraiser on GiveSendGo, aiming to raise $2,5000 a month so the “funds will enable [him] to work full-time on the project for a year.” As of March 29, 2025, he’s been able to raise $15,152. One person even donated a whopping $500 dollars last year!
He also tagged @RiddleOfSteelStrength, another Nazi who was in a band called 13 Winters named Roy Linford Adams. Adams used to own a gym which was located at an undisclosed location in Buxton, Maine. Although I’m not sure if it’s still open since its website has been taken down.
Free speech is something that has been long debated when it comes to Nazis, and especially in the advent of the internet. The conversation of free speech and censorship is a very complicated one, but I’ll leave my opinion out of it for now. This isn’t about my beliefs, this is about the Fort Fairfield Journal, and the fact that they seem a-okay with advertising a book burning for a guy like this…
But at the end of the day, it’s their choice to endorse fascism. It’s their choice to advertise a book burning that’s being done by a man so cowardly, that he can’t even drop the location. Quite a way to show their true colors.
